Having grown up in Southern California, she also plays beach volleyball and is in the ocean surfing, swimming or kayaking any chance she gets. These days, she's most happy getting out trail and mountain running, Nordic skiing, lap swimming, snowboarding, SUPing, climbing, cycling off-road and on, roping her kids into outdoor activity of any sort, and general low-grade adventuring.
